Wera Wera 967/9 TX BO BlackLaser Torx L-Key Set

This is the Torx version of Wera’s L-keys, and it is hands down the best Torx L-key set I have ever owned. Every benefit I talk about on the hex sets carries over: the grip, the well-made tool holder, the color-coded sleeves, the BlackLaser finish that holds up. If you already trust Wera’s hex keys, this is the same tool with a Torx tip.

Two things are worth calling out because they are easy to miss. First, the ball end. Not every size has it. The ball end starts at the T15 and runs up through the largest key in the set, and it is incredibly useful for getting at a screw you cannot line up straight on. Second, the security compatibility. All but the two smallest keys drive tamper-proof Torx, the kind with the pin in the middle of the screw. That covers the short arm from T10 on up. The T10 is the interesting one: it also has the security bore on the long arm. The T15 and up do not carry security on the long arm, but that is because the long arm is where the ball end lives, and you cannot really do both on the same tip. So you get standard Torx, security Torx, and ball-end reach out of one set, and you stop carrying a separate security kit for the one oddball screw.

Same story as the rest of these L-keys. Firmly in the buy-once category, fully worth the price, and they will last an incredibly long time even under heavy use.
