This is the one clipped to my belt and in my hand most of the day. It has all the same features as my flatback (the note window, the built-in pencil sharpener, the lever-action belt clip), but it’s the standard reverse lefty-righty, so I can read the tape from either side. That bidirectional read sounds like a small thing until you’ve worked with it. Then reaching across a sheet, or pulling a measurement from the wrong side of a layout, stops being a fight.

For just about any job, in the shop or on site, this is an outstanding daily driver. If you’re only going to buy one ProCarpenter, make it this one.
